Up to 85% of policy premium in their captive (before broker commissions/fees)
Control over the claims process
Premium stability
The ability to retain 100% of the captive’s underwriting profit
Complete control over the requests for surplus distributions from their captive’s investment account
Annual surplus distributions from the carrier trust to the captive 90-120 days after expiration date of the reinsured policy and/or policies
No exposure to losses from unrelated parties
No requirement to change existing captive managers or existing captive insurance arrangements
Client has the ability to write other lines of insurance within their captive structure
Flexibility to keep/change their effective date(s)
Ability to form the captive after the policy has been bound

Program Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum premium of $500K for the underwritten coverages ($1M for Property—premium totals may be combined with select other coverages)
Submissions no less than 30 days prior to the desired effective date
Excellent loss histories

We’re typically able to provide a detailed proposal within only two weeks of receipt of a complete submission. Our detailed proposals include policy premiums, deductibles, captive reinsurance allocations, initial captive business plans, and expected/adverse scenario proforma financials for each option we underwrite. With your assistance, our experts will then deliver the proposal to the insured in order to determine viability and interest. Assuming there’s interest, we then work with you to complete underwriting and are typically able to provide formal, bindable terms within seven to ten days.
